Box breathing primer

The Breathe trip on /toke runs a strict 2-second inhale, 2-second hold, 2-second exhale cycle. That rhythm (sometimes called the four-fold breath when you add a hold on the exhale) is one of the oldest meditation timers in any tradition. It steadies the heart rate, lowers cortisol, and gives the wandering mind a single thing to track.

  • Inhale 2s โ€” visual contracts inward.
  • Hold 2s โ€” held breath, held visual.
  • Exhale 2s โ€” visual releases outward.
